Attend the California Maritime Leadership Symposium

Attend the California Maritime Leadership Symposium

The 14th Annual California Maritime Leadership Symposium is scheduled for February 19-20 at the Sacramento Convention Center. Attracting key members from California’s State Legislature and representatives from all of California’s ports, the 2013 Symposium encouraged productive dialogue among maritime industry leaders and effectively communicated port needs to California decision makers.

“This is a very good event that I attend every year,” PC-NC President John Amos said.

The Symposium is being organized by a coalition including the California Association of Port Authorities (CAPA), California Marine Affairs and Navigation Conference (CMANC), California Marine & Intermodal Transportation System Advisory Council (CALMITSAC), the Harbor Association of Industry and Commerce, the Propeller Club of Los Angeles/Long Beach and The California Maritime Academy.

PC-NC member Port of San Francisco is a sponsor of this important event.

Last year’s presentations are available to view on the CALMITSAC Youtube channel.

Registration is $225 per delegate. For $150, you can send a California Maritime Academy cadet to the 2014 California Maritime Leadership Symposium under the Dr. Lee Kerschner “Sponsor a Cadet” Program. This program honors Dr. Kerschner, who was a mentor and academic advisor to the many students and colleagues who had the privilege of working with him. By sponsoring a registration to the Symposium, you are providing a unique opportunity for cadets to learn about industry issues and experience the event.

For questions, please email info@maritimesymposium.com or call (310) 584-7933 ext 5 or visit the Maritime Symposium website  for a complete program schedule.
